Paul brings 35 years of experience in accountancy and business advisory services, specialising in supporting owner-managed businesses with financial management, commercial strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
In his new role, Paul will work alongside the AI Assistant leadership team to provide strategic financial guidance, enhance management information and cash flow planning, and support commercial decision-making as the company explores opportunities across international markets.
Paul said: “What attracted me to AI Assistant is the opportunity to work with people who are constantly developing new ideas and looking for ways to move the business forward. The technology is fascinating and the potential is considerable.
“I’ve spent much of my career working directly with business owners, helping them explore ideas, challenge assumptions and make informed decisions. I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to AI Assistant, providing a different perspective and helping ensure that the opportunities we pursue make commercial sense.
“It’s an exciting business to be involved with, particularly given the pace at which AI technology is developing. My focus will be on helping the team build on that momentum while managing growth in a sustainable way.”
Welcoming the appointment, Ritchie Kelk, Director of AI Assistant, said: “I’ve known Paul for many years and have always valued his practical approach, commercial acumen and willingness to challenge our thinking. He brings considerable experience of helping businesses grow and understands the importance of making sound financial decisions.
“As we continue to develop our AI solutions and explore opportunities in new markets, having Paul’s expertise within the leadership team will be hugely valuable. He will help us maintain a clear commercial focus, evaluate opportunities and ensure we have the financial foundations in place to support our ambitions.
“We’re delighted to welcome him to AI Assistant and look forward to working together on the next stage of the business’s development.”
